Just because this is so exciting and I can just about hear you screaming for more, I'll continue about my breasts. I had another scan today, this time by an actual radiologist and their million-dollar equipment that the breast specialist seemed envious of.
The outcome: There are no tumours, not even benign fibroadenomas the specialist had discovered. It went a little like this:
RADIOLOGIST: That's a cyst.
ME: Are you sure? I was told it's solid and possibly a fibroadenoma.
RADIOLOGIST: It's a cyst.
ME: I was told I need a biopsy.
RADIOLOGIST: They don't biopsy cysts.
So, I paid $210 and went home. Grateful not to have a tumour. Even more grateful not to need a $800 biopsy. I should probably get a medical insurance... and I would, if I wasn't so unimpressed by the specialists I could access with my insurance.
